The U-M Legal Services Plan, administered by MetLife Legal Plans, provides identity theft protection services through IdentityForce. On January 1, 2024 these services will be transitioned to Aura. 

In October 2023, if you are enrolled in the MetLife Legal Services Plan, MetLife will be contacting you via email regarding the service provider change and important steps that need to be taken. View an example of the email you will receive from MetLife Legal Plans: 

• if you ARE enrolled in identity theft coverage
• if you are NOT enrolled in identity theft coverage  

Activating Your Aura Account

You will need to activate your new Aura account by Jan. 1, 2024. Review any information you wish to transfer to Aura before your IdentityForce account is deactivated on Jan. 1, 2024.

Upgrades to Your Identity Theft Coverage

Aura offers the following benefits at no additional costs: 

• increase in number of eligible individuals for proactive monitoring from 2 adults to 10 adults
• Virtual Private Network (VPN) and antivirus protection on unlimited number of devices
• faster fraud alerts
• digital vault to store personal information and passwords
• proactive monitoring from the current coverage of 2 adults to the new 10 additional adults
