remove zest from a washed fresh lemon with a zester to measure 2 teaspoons

use a juicer to measure out 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice, or as much as you like

Add as desired to steamed fresh vegetables, and/or stir into soups to lift their flavors Add to sparkling water to give your beverage a quenching lift!
If you have a glut of lemons, zest and juice them! Freeze the zest in a small container or wrapped into parchment paper. Freeze the juice in ice cube containers. 6 lemons will yield approximately 1 cup of juice and 2 tablespoons of zest. Pop the frozen juice out into a zip-seal bag when frozen for quick and easy access.
