Ingredients
- 4 whole wheat pita breads
- olive oil spray
- 1 1/2 ounces grated parmesan cheese
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 375 F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cut each pita bread in half, then cut each half into 4 wedges. Separate each wedge into 2 thinner halves and place onto baking sheets rough side facing up, in a single layer. Spray the tops lightly with olive oil spray (or brush lightly with olive oil). Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 5-7 minutes, then switch pans from one shelf to the other and rotate front to back and continue to bake another 5-8 minutes or until lightly golden and crisp. Allow to cool then store in airtight container for up to 4 weeks.
- Feel free to season with additional flavors such as black pepper, garlic granules, Italian seasoning, chili powder, cumin, curry, za'atar....the options are endless!
