Warm & Wonderful Mulled Cider
Ingredients

1 1/2 cups apple cider

1 teaspoon ginger root, peeled and cut into thin slices

1 cinnamon stick

1 piece the size of a chickpea of a whole nutmeg or use 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

2 one inch strips of orange peel without the pith from a fresh orange

2 green lemon ginseng tea bags or 1 heaping tablespoon of loose tea

2 1/2 cups water

1/4 medium apple, sliced into four pieces for garnish
Preparation

Measure the cider into a saucepan and add the ginger root, cinnamon stick, nutmeg and orange slices.

Place saucepan over medium heat and bring to a gentle boil. Turn down the heat and simmer for 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, boil water and pour over tea, allow to steep for at least 10 minutes.

Strain all ingredients into a serving pitcher and serve with a garnish of sliced apple.
