Ingredients
- 3 1/2 cups filtered water
- 6 Tablespoons honey
- 6 strips of lemon peel
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1-inch piece of ginger, peeled and sliced
Preparation
- Combine 1 cup of the water with the honey, lemon peel, cinnamon stick and ginger in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat and stir until honey has dissolved, about 1 minute. Remove from heat and set aside to steep for at least an hour for the flavors to develop.
- Strain mixture through a mesh strainer into a pitcher. Stir in the lemon juice and remaining 2 1/2 cups of water. Chill and enjoy.
