Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 3 tablespoons 50% less sodium tamari or soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon chile-garlic sauce
- 2 teaspoons honey
- 1 tablespoon grated orange zest
- 1/2 cup cilantro, finely chopped, divided
- 2 tablespoon avocado oil
- 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
- 1 cup kohlrabi, peeled and cut into matchsticks
- 3 cups napa cabbage, shredded
- 1 cup carrots, grated
- 1 cup snow peas, trimmed and thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds, toasted
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted
- Optional: Add mandarin orange slices and/or shredded chicken to make it an asian flavored veggie and chicken salad
Preparation
- In a small bowl, whisk together the vinegar, tamari, chili-garlic sauce, orange zest and 1/4 cup cilantro. Slowly whisk in the avocado oil and sesame oil. Set aside
- In a large bowl, combine the kohlrabi, cabbage, carrots and snow peas. Add enough dressing to coat and toss gently to mix. Serve topped with almonds, sesame seeds and remaining cilantro.
