Benefits Mentor

Benefits Mentor is a decision support tool that helps you decide which U-M Health Plan best suits your needs. The interactive tool analyzes information you list as important – such as cost, physician network and specific benefits – and factors in either your historical claims data or benchmark data to suggest a health plan for you. 2024 rates and plans will be available on Monday, October 2nd, 2023.

Things to Consider

Before Open Enrollment begins, consider the following when reviewing health plans:

  • All the costs involved (including both premiums and out-of-pocket expenses like deductibles, coinsurance, and copays).
  • The plan’s service areas and access to your preferred doctors and hospitals. 
  • The anticipated health needs for you and your covered dependents.
  • Your financial needs over the next year.
