Ingredients

1/2 banana, coarsely chopped

1/2 cup strawberries, fresh or frozen

1 cup fresh spinach

1/2 apple, quartered & core removed

1 medium carrot, peeled and coarsely chopped

1 tablespoon chia seeds

1 cup unsweetened chilled almond milk or low fat milk

OPTIONAL: 1 tablespoon maple syrup

Preparation

Combine all ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth.

Serving Ideas : A really satisfying breakfast or lunch option! Sprinkle each serving with cinnamon or nutmeg.
