Ann Arbor Campus
The Ann Arbor campus New Employee Orientation (NEO) focuses on welcoming new employees to the university community. It is intended for regular, active, benefits-eligible faculty and staff, excluding Michigan Medicine and the regional campuses. It provides:
-
An introduction to the U-M mission, vision, culture and values
-
An overview of U-M policies, payroll, employee support and resources
-
Information about university benefits and enrollment
-
Career and professional development resources and the next steps in your onboarding journey
This introduction equips new employees with tools to navigate our decentralized institution. Plan to spend approximately four hours completing this self-directed program on your first day. You can also review onboarding content for additional steps as you acclimate to your new role. This content is in addition to any orientation materials your individual school, college or unit may provide.
