Organizational Learning and ITS have established a partnership for our online course registration. ITS continues to provide training, documentation, and communications for M-Pathways, eMploy, and the U-M Data Warehouse in My LINC. We are very excited about this partnership, as each employee has access to their training history for both ITS and Organizational Learning courses in one location.
You can browse for Organizational Learning courses at both the Professional Development Courses page and My LINC.

Within a week after we receive your registration, we’ll send you a confirmation letter. If you haven’t received one in this timeframe, please email [email protected] or call us at (734) 764-7410.
If you cannot attend a program, please notify us at [email protected] or (734) 764-7410. Two weeks cancellation notice is preferred.
In the unlikely event that course fees change during the academic year, Organizational Learning will notify course participants as soon as possible.
We make every effort to accommodate walk-in registrations if space is available in the course. In the event the course is filled, we will put your name on the Course Interest List for the next available session.
Registering for the Course Interest List (CIL) does not require or guarantee enrollment in a course session. CIL members will be notified when a new session is created and will be given an opportunity to register. In the event an additional session of a course is not added to the current schedule, CIL members will be notified of available dates for the next academic year in the summer.
Organizational Learning does not provide free parking, parking vouchers or change for the meters.
More information can be found on the Transportation website for on campus in-person events.
Due to the fact that many U-M employees are working remotely/hybrid, Organizational Learning offers mostly virtual sessions. For in-person sessions, coffee, tea and water are usually provided. For all day courses, lunch is not provided unless noted. Time will be allotted for a lunch period and delivery menus will be available.
Persons with disabilities who need special accommodations to attend a program should email [email protected] or call Organizational Learning at (734) 764-7410. The temperature of the training rooms is electronically controlled, so we suggest that you bring along a sweater or light jacket just in case the room temperature is too cool for your comfort.
Most Organizational Learning courses include an experiential learning component. Active learning increases what is remembered, how well it is assimilated, and how the learning is used in new situations. Participation in class discussions, small group activities, and other exercises is expected and will help each participant apply the learning to their workplace.

Occasionally, we invite a photographer into some of our courses to take photos of participants and presenters for our catalog and other promotional materials. Seating arrangements can be made at the start of each course for those who do not want their photo taken while in session.
At Organizational Learning, we believe in continuous improvement; therefore, we encourage you to provide candid feedback on ways to improve our courses and services via our pre-, in-session and post-evaluation methods. Similarly, assessment and research activities (i.e., note taking, tape recording, or video recording) are performed periodically on Organizational Learning traditional and online courses in order to assess the effectiveness of the course design, instructor style, and the type of interactivity taking place during small and large group activities. You will be notified a few days prior to the start date of the course if an observation will take place. Please note, confidentiality is of the utmost importance during our observational research; therefore, individual names will not be associated with comments or in-session activities. Observational research activities are designed to enrich your learning experience while helping us improve future experiences for Organizational Learning course participants.
Organizational Learning can help units plan staff and faculty leadership, professional and career development, culture change and diversity, equity and inclusion. We meet mission-critical needs in the most practical, cost-efficient and innovative manner possible. We also partner with the Office for Health Equity and Inclusion to provide diversity, equity and inclusion services to the Michigan Medicine audience.
