Margaret Liu
Program Director
Margaret Liu (she/her/hers) is a program director for the Standardized Patient Instructor Program at the U-M Dental School. She has worked at the University of Michigan for 27 years, first as a research scientist for the 15 years before her current role at the Dental School. She is passionate about student learning, creating a diverse, welcoming, and positive working environment for everyone, and advancing DE&I. She serves on the APID/A work group and the executive committee as the VP for Finance for ASPE, the Association of Standardized Patient Educators. Her favorite pastime is binge-watching K-drama, reading, crafting, cooking, eating, gardening, walking, and photography- enjoy life as it is for the moment!

Melina Adler
Project Manager
Melina Adler (she/her/hers) is a project manager for Michigan Medicine Laboratories in the Department of Pathology. She served Michigan Medicine for 17 years in the Quality Department’s division of Customer Performance Metrics and Improvement and returned to the University of Michigan in 2020 after having managed continuous quality improvement at Denison Consulting, LLC. She's one of AENT's advisors. She enjoys hiking, traveling the world with friends and family, and discovering new people, places and things through the lens of her camera.

Nabeela Jaffer
Business Systems Analyst Senior
Nabeela Jaffer is a Senior Business Systems Analyst and an IT Project Manager at Michigan Medicine Health IT Services (HITS). Prior to this position, she worked for 7 years at Michigan Library IT as an IT Program Manager. She holds a Master's in Information Systems (EMU) and a Master's in Higher Education Management (U-M). Nabeela is passionate about using technology to innovate solutions and helping with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). She is a DEI facilitator at U-M Organizational Learning. She is a mother of five children including a son with cognitive impairment and autism. In 2013, she developed a mobile app for her son to help him with his communication. In 2022, she launched a nonprofit, Glow Abilities, to provide job-building skills for special needs. She is an advocate for women in technology and people with disabilities.

Shanté Galloway
Senior HR Business Partner
Shanté Galloway (she/her), SHRM-CP, is a Senior HR Business Partner at the School of Dentistry. With a career at U-M since 2007, she has held diverse administrative and human resources positions across campus, including notable roles in LSA and the Shared Services Center. She demonstrates her commitment to the university by actively participating in executive boards for various service committees and initiatives. Shanté serves as the Treasurer for the Women of Color Task Force, The Coalition (as a founding member), and previously served on the Voices of the Staff Fostering Learning, Coaching, and Mentoring Team. Additionally, she is an esteemed HR Community of Practice Group member and serves as a Volunteer Mediator with the Equity, Civil Rights & Title IX team. Shanté indulges in her passion for reading in her leisure time, enjoys watching football and Harry Potter movies, cherishes moments with her family, and explores new dining experiences at restaurants.

Sheryl Bourlier
Senior Financial Manager
Sheryl Bourlier is a Senior Financial Manager in Enterprise Financial Planning & Analysis (EFP&A). She began her university career at M-Care, and has progressed in her roles in EFP&A since that time. She is proud to have formerly served as a member of the Voices Career Development Team, and was honored to participate with the M-Staff 200. She currently serves as a co-lead on the Finance DEI team. She enjoys spending time with her dogs, in particular doing agility, and is now learning how to do scent work with them as well. Other favorite activities are spending time with family, word/number puzzles, embroidery, reading, gardening, and hiking.

Stephanie Laurinec
Administrator and Manager
Stephanie Laurinec (she/her/hers) is the Chief Administrator for the U-M College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA) Department of Women’s and Gender Studies (WGS). Previously she worked at Michigan Medicine for over 22 years in various roles and departments. Stephanie is passionate about employee engagement, creating a positive work environment and advancing DE&I. Stephanie serves as a member of the Administrative Committee for the UHR in collaboration with Voices of the Staff Career Development Fund for Staff, is the AENT liaison, and a member of the Voices Program Management Team. In her spare time Stephanie enjoys hiking, camping, reading, and baking.

Steven Pejuan
Program Manager
Steven Pejuan (he/him/his) serves as the Academic Advisor/Counselor for the MEDPREP Postbaccalaureate program in Michigan Medicine’s Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. He earned a B.S. in Business Administration and a Master of Social Work degree from Wayne State University. He previously was a member of the Voice’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team while serving as a Graduate Program Coordinator for the CoE Electrical Engineering PhD program. Steven joined U-M in 2014 after leaving his counselor role at the Wayne State University School of Medicine. He enjoys gardening, cooking, his two dogs and cat, traveling and singing in the Rackham Choir.

Tracy Darnell
Program Manager
Tracy Darnell (she/her) is the program manager for the School of Dentistry’s Community-based Collaborative Care and Education Program. She joined the university in 2006 as a part of the Frankel Center for Judaic Studies, transitioning to the Office of New Student Programs in 2010, and has been with CBCE in Dentistry since 2018. Tracy previously served on two Voices committees and the Core Team, and now returns to Voices as part of Alumni Engagement to continue serving her fellow staff members. She holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Northwood University. Tracy can be found serving on a variety committees in the dental school and across the U-M campus. When not at U-M, she loves spending time with her son, her friends, and her dog Molly. Tracy enjoys reading, cooking/baking, cycling, and traveling.
